This resort is located 30 km from Grenoble at the tip of the Belledonne massif.
It consists of two sites: Chamrousse 1650 (Recoin) and Chamrousse 1750-1700 (Roche Béranger - Domaine de l'Arselle) that are linked via ski slopes. It covers 3 200 acres.
The resort nestles in a forest landscape that offers an exceptional panoramic view over Grenoble and its valley. Its highest point is the Croix de Chamrousse at an altitude of 2250 m.
Winter sports are a tradition in Chamrousse 1650 where the first ski descents date back to 1878. In 1968, six Grenoble Olympic Games disciplines took place on slopes that still exist today.
At the Chamrousse 1650 Tourist Office, pick up a free leaflet and discover the village on foot in the autumn via a 40-45 minute walk.
This village is perfect for ski and snowboard novices and for children - a few turns under the fir trees on a gentle slope and off you go!
At the heart of the resort you will find a shopping centre only 800 m away from the Bachat-Bouloud and the Domaine de l'Arselle (Chamrousse 1700) residences.
At the Tourist Office, pick up a free leaflet and discover the village on foot, by yourself, in the autumn via a 45 minute to 1½ hour walk ‘in the footsteps of Père Tasse'.
